Spice Honors Dancehall Legends and Media at Exclusive 'MIRROR 25' Album Launch

Grammy® Award-Nominated, chart-topping dancehall superstar Spice celebrated a monumental milestone in her career. The exclusive press launch for her third studio album, MIRROR 25, was a night of gratitude, reflection, and electrifying performances.

In a heartwarming moment that encapsulated the spirit of the evening, a witty and deeply appreciative Professor Nuts knelt before Spice, who honored him with one of 12 crystal microphones. The moment was a powerful acknowledgment of the dancehall legend's influence on her journey. Professor Nuts was one of the 12 honorees, a list that also included Big A, Heavy D, Earlton Clarke, Ninja Man, Bounty Killa, Vybz Kartel, Shaggy, Sean Paul, Dave Kelly, and Cham—individuals who have been instrumental in Spice’s 25-year ascent to the pinnacle of global dancehall music.

Spice, known for her flamboyant persona and powerful stage performances, was in a reflective and appreciative mood as she recounted her journey. "Creating my album MIRROR 25 was intentionally done to celebrate 25 incredible years in music," Spice shared. "It has been a truly exhilarating journey, and this album showcases my versatility as well as my passion for Dancehall."

For the first time in Jamaica, a dancehall artiste took the stage to honor the media houses that have supported her career. Spice presented awards to 17 media outlets, expressing her deep gratitude for the airplay, television coverage, and print space they have provided over the years. "It’s every artiste’s wish to be celebrated in their own country, and I’m blessed with that," she said, highlighting the significance of local recognition in her journey.

The evening was capped off with a riveting performance by Spice, Pamputtae, and Jada Kingdom, who delivered a powerful rendition of their track "SUPER HERO / Super Glue," leaving the audience in awe.
